The Polish-Saxon plan was foiled when the Polish troop, who dod not receive an order that turn, rolled an impetuous result on the table, and decided to attack across the river. The Allied position went down hill from there. The Polish action plus the hot dice that the Austrians are having gave Austians the edge. We had to call the game after 4 hours of play, and the GM gave it a Austrian marginal victory.
I liked the rules. It's simple and gave the correct level of command as a corps commander. It might not appeal to the types who want to fiddle with forming sqaure and all that tactical stuff. Perfect for recreating large battles.
